Feb 14th, 1999

I applied Early Decision to Brown University, was waitlisted, and ultimately rejected. Also rejected from many other universities...

Not technically a rejection, but I received detention in English class for not following what the teacher deemed "proper" writing.

My first day of school in America was on Valentine's Day! What a culture shock for a 7-year old. I was placed in 1st instead of 2nd grade because of my limited English.
